A few days ago I went on a shoot with Brookelyn who was in need of some updated photos. We found a small field close by up in Layton. I have shot with Brooke in the past and we have always come away we some great images but it seems that on this day we out did ourselves but I will let you be the judge.

People make the best photos!
So over the last few years people have asked me what I love to take pictures of the most. And it has changed a few times, once upon a time I love weddings, then kids and then families, well I think I have really found what I love most and that is shooting headshots. I love seeing and telling stories with expressions and personalities, there are so many different ways to take a headshot and yet it is so simple.

Snowbird Family
Last week I had the privilege of photographing an amazing family up near Snowbird. There was a storm fast approaching which allowed for little time to shoot. We hurried to our location and I snapped away. Light light was fading fast and the wind started blowing so we hid behind some trees and got some great shots. I love the colors they decided to wear, it sure helps when people have great taste in clothing. Just as the rain started coming down we finished and came away with a few pictures that will last a life time.

Rocks
I went scouting for some new places to shoot up Little Cottonwood Canyon. I found a few great locations and I also came away with a few great landscape shots. Let me know what you think!

The Carver Name Continues
Ok, so I am not sure how many of you know but we are expecting our second child come January. We are having a boy. Well there has been a curse upon the in-law side of my family and all that is around are girls and more girls. When we told everyone that we were having a boy no one believed us and was so excited. The best part of having a boy is your name as the father gets to go on another generation! I mean who wouldnt want their last name to be "Carver"? And the next best thing is you get to feed your boy mud and watch him destroy everything. Which brings me to my next thought, how in the world can you possible give the second kid as much love as you have given the last kid? In closing I just want you all to know that I am more than ready to document the news babies life all in photos. I didnt get to start from scratch with our first but I am more than ready to snap photos away in hopes to just capture an image that will last a life time.
